Under Pressure
Some people excel under pressure. I’m not one of them though. You know when in sports, you see players playing worse than before, not being able to do things where they could easily done if it was just a casual game, thats the performance reduction stress. I wonder what they do to overcome it?
The joy of learning
I heard a qoute once “the result is not as important as the process towards the result”. Even though it made sense, sometimes it is difficult to enjoy the process of the learning curve when you obviously suck at it compared to the masters. I realized today that the key to overcoming that might just be to feel a sense of achievement for every little progress you have made, instead of looking at the final goal and think why am I so far from it.
It might sound pretty easy, but in times of competition (like competitive sports), its hard to think that way when you get your ass whopped by pros.
Maybe the only way out is to play with someone just slightly better?
